The best budget hotel in El Nido Palawan is the Wild Rose Inn, at least when we factor in location, price and amenities.
What is the hotel scene in El Nido?
There is literally everything here from beach sides apartments, to huts, grand resorts and even hotels. The problem is that most are way out of the way of things. This means that you should find somewhere on the main street or at least walking distance of it.
And why should you do this? Because everything from island hopping to the nightlife is here, and not being here will just add to transport costs.
What is the deal with the Wild Rose Inn
It is located just off of the main drag, but not too far and exactly opposite the beach where the boats dock. This means it is roadside rather than beachside, but in fairness you could not get much closer.
It is also next to Template Restaurant, one of the best in El Nido, as well as being owned by the same people – who also do our boat trips.
The price here is dependent on a few factors, but a simple room can gotten from just around $30 a night. Yes the rooms are fairly simple, but they have twins, as well as single bed rooms.
It is also very safe around this area, with there being shops and the main street next door.

Template is seconds away, Calamari bar just 5 minutes and the beach where we go hopping just 2 minutes away.
So, in our minds Wild Rose Inn is your best bet when you want too ome island hopping in Palawan, and we will be back staying here on our trip next year.
